Pune: Couples and girl gangs are looking to celebrate Valentine's Day and the upcoming weekend with engaging experiences and interactive workshops.
Hands-on activities like baking classes, terrarium building, pizza-making and clay-modelling provide an opportunity to create unique memories together.
Ishita Singh and her husband celebrated Valentine's Day over romantic dinner dates for the last six years. "This year, we wanted to make our date memorable and signed up for a mixology workshop," she said.
Couples are increasingly seeking experiences that foster creativity, collaboration and personal connection. Rutuja Achalare, founder of Ecoville the Farm in Mahalunge, said, "We have a weekend of Valentine's special activities. There's a Tango sundowner, a clay date and a joint painting workshop. Couples want to learn art together and the demand is good, this year," she said.
Aju Marwah, who runs Baked Pune, is conducting a Valentine's special cake-frosting workshop. "It's for two hours. We will provide ready cake sponges and participants will learn frosting as well as decoration with nuts, strawberries, etc," she said.
Magarpatta residents Devanshi and Sharad Goyal participated in a chocolate-making workshop, last year, and had fun. "We were part of many workshops last year, but never a Valentine's special one. We are foodies and we want to learn bread making, cheese making and even pasta making," said Devanshi.
Sagar Dave, a terrarium maker, will conduct a workshop at FC Social, this weekend. "Making a terrarium brings partners closer — they make decisions together, see the creative side of each other and take care of the little world they create — very meta of real life," he said.
Olivia Adhikary, founder of Olivia's Cafe and Bistro on Baner-Pashan Link Road, said they conducted a hit pizza-making workshop for couples last weekend. "People learnt how to make dough and even topped and baked it together. This weekend, we are holding a Valentine's special Art with Puppies event in collaboration with Pawga. It will also serve as an adoption drive for puppies," she said.
